What needed solving .
An architect on a high-end Bondi residential project specified clear acrylic balustrade infill across 32 panels, internal staircase, mezzanine and external balcony. The spec called for 25 mm cast acrylic with diamond-polished edges and full structural sign-off.
Two earlier suppliers had quoted but couldn't commit to the polish quality across all 32 panels or to the program-aligned delivery the architect needed.
How we solved it .
We sourced 25 mm cast acrylic from premium stock, CNC-routed every panel from the architect's drawings, then ran each through diamond-edge polishing in-house. Every edge to a glass-clear finish, every panel sample-checked against the architect's reference panel before approval.
Delivery sequenced to match the project program, staircase first, then mezzanine, then external balcony as the build hit each milestone. Material grade documentation supplied as part of the delivery pack.
What shipped .
All 32 panels installed first-time with no rework. The architect now uses B&M as a standing supplier for plastic balustrade and feature work across their residential and commercial portfolio.
