ACM Composite Panel.

The architectural cladding standard, V-grooved, folded and ready to install. Alpolic®, Alucobond®, Reynobond® stocked or to order.

Overview

The standard for modern architectural cladding.

Aluminium composite material panel, known by brand names Alpolic®, Alucobond® and Reynobond®, is the standard for modern architectural cladding. Two thin aluminium skins bonded to a polymer core, giving you the look and durability of metal at a fraction of the weight. We rout, V-groove, fold and trim ACM daily for façade, soffit and signage work.

Sandwich panel: 0.5 mm aluminium skin / polymer core / 0.5 mm aluminium skin. Standard total thickness 3 mm or 4 mm. Density ~1.5 g/cm³ (much lighter than solid metal). Excellent flatness, weather resistance, paint adhesion and thermal stability.

Fire-rated FR-grade ACM is mandated for many cladding applications under current Australian compliance requirements. Make sure the panel grade matches the project specification, we'll quote off your specified grade and supply documentation on request.

Applications

Common applications .

Façade cladding cassette systems are the bulk of ACM work, V-grooved, folded and pre-drilled for fixings, delivered to site ready to install. We work with architects and cladding contractors on system tolerances.

Signage applications, both as a structural backing for vinyl-applied signage and as a face material for routed letter sets and dimensional signage.

  • Façade cladding (cassette systems)
  • Soffit and ceiling panels
  • Sign letter backers and faces
  • Architectural feature panels
  • Storefront cladding
  • Internal partition panels
  • Dimensional sign letters
  • Lift lobby and reception cladding
In the workshop

From sheet to finished part .

CNC routing for V-grooving (precise back-skin cuts that allow folding), profile cutting and pocketing. Edge fold and break in-house. Mechanical fastening for cassette systems. Adhesive backing for direct-fix installations.

ACM panels are not laser-cut, the aluminium skin reflects laser. CNC route only. Standard sheet 4050 × 1500 mm and 3050 × 1500 mm.

FAQ

Common questions about ACM panel .

Aluminium composite material, two thin aluminium skins (typically 0.5 mm each) bonded to a polymer core. Standard total thickness is 3 mm or 4 mm. Brand names include Alpolic®, Alucobond® and Reynobond®. Density is around 1.5 g/cm³, much lighter than solid aluminium.

Standard ACM has a polymer core that's not fire-rated. FR-grade (fire-retardant) ACM with a mineral core is required for many cladding applications under current Australian compliance requirements. Make sure the panel grade matches your project specification, we'll quote off the specified grade and supply documentation.

We CNC route a V-shaped groove into the back skin of the ACM to a precise depth, then fold the panel along the groove. The front skin remains continuous, giving you a sharp folded corner with no cracking. Critical for cassette cladding systems where panel flatness and corner sharpness define the install.
