What separates a fabricator from a sheet cutter .
Plastic welding is what separates a fabricator from a sheet cutter. At B&M we run hot-air (hot-gas) welding and extrusion welding daily on HDPE, polypropylene and PVC for chemical tanks, scrubber systems, bunding, ducting and heavy industrial fabrications.
Every weld we lay is spark tested. Tanks, ducting and bunding are pressure tested on top of that, with documentation supplied.
Our welders are credentialled to recognised industry standards and we provide pressure-test documentation for compliance work where required. For council, EPA and engineering sign-offs we can supply weld procedure specifications and welder credentials on request.
On-site repair and modification by arrangement, common for chemical plant tanks, large bunding repairs and any job where the tank can't easily come off-site. Sydney metro and regional NSW covered direct.

Where this is used .
When chemical resistance, structural integrity and weldability all matter, plastic welding is the answer. Tanks, scrubbers, bunding and ductwork are daily jobs. Heavy-gauge industrial fabrications and fluid-handling assemblies pass through the welding bay weekly.
If you have a tank that's leaking, a bunding wall that's failed inspection or a ducting run that needs modification, we can quote a repair or replacement. Compliance documentation and pressure-test sign-off available on request.
- Chemical storage tanks (HDPE, PP, PVC)
- Scrubber systems and chemical processing fit-outs
- Bunding walls and chemical containment
- Industrial ductwork and ventilation
- Mining slurry and waste-water pipework
- Food-grade processing hoppers (PP)
- Marine fenders and trim (HDPE)
- Tank repairs and on-site welding
From sketch to shop floor in 24 hours .
Send drawings, a description of the job, or photos of an existing tank/system that needs repair or replacement. For new builds we work from STEP/IGES, dimensioned drawings or hand sketches.
Quote includes weld method, pressure-test scope (where applicable) and any compliance documentation requirements. On-site work scoped separately by arrangement.

Common questions about plastic welding .
Yes. Our welders are credentialled to recognised industry standards and we provide pressure-test documentation, weld procedure specifications and welder credentials on request, useful for council, EPA and engineering compliance sign-offs.
Yes, by arrangement. Common for chemical plant tanks, large bunding repairs and any system that's too large to easily come off-site. We cover Sydney metro and regional NSW direct, talk to the team about travel, accommodation and timing on your specific job.
HDPE, polypropylene (PP), PVC and PVDF are the welded mainstays, hot-gas and extrusion welding daily. Acrylic and polycarbonate are typically solvent-bonded rather than welded. Each material has a specific welding method and rod choice, we'll specify in the quote.
