Sixty-five years of knowing what cuts clean .
CNC routing is the backbone of modern plastic fabrication. At B&M Plastics' Yennora workshop we run flatbed CNC routers capable of cutting, profiling, drilling and pocketing sheet plastics at production speed with sign-shop precision.
We've been routing plastic in Sydney since CNC technology arrived on Australian shop floors, and 65 years of fabrication knowledge means we know what comes off the bed clean and what needs a second op. Tool paths are optimised for clean cosmetic edges, so most parts go straight from CNC to despatch.
Acrylic, polycarbonate, HDPE, polypropylene, PVC, PETG, ACM composite panel, nylon and POM/acetal are all daily work. Sheet sizes up to 3.6 m × 2 m. Thicknesses from 1 mm to 60 mm depending on tooling.
For straight rip-down work and stack-cutting we run a precision beam-saw, accurate cutting from 0.2 mm to 60 mm thick across all sheet plastics. Beam-saw output is straighter and faster than a router for square panels and pre-cut blanks; CNC routing handles the shapes, holes and pockets.

The specs at a glance.
Where this is used .
Almost every job through the workshop touches the CNC router at some point. The bed is large enough for full-size architectural panels, and the tooling is precise enough for tight-fit prototype housings.
Single-part one-offs through to multi-thousand production runs, same tolerances either way. Honest setup time on small jobs is included in the quote.
- Retail and POS displays
- Illuminated signage faces and dimensional letters
- Architectural panels and façade elements
- Machine guards and safety screens
- Drain covers and industrial fit-outs
- Prototype housings and short-run production parts
- 2.5D profiled and pocketed mounting plates
- Custom enclosures

Send drawings, a sketch or even a phone photo. We accept DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES, PDF and Adobe Illustrator (AI/EPS). If you only have something on paper, send a photo, we rebuild the file in CAD here at no charge for standard quotes.
Quote back inside 24 business hours, straight from someone on the shop floor. Once approved, most jobs run within the same week, call us if you're up against a deadline and we'll work the schedule.

Common questions about cnc routing .
Standard production tolerance is ±0.2 mm across acrylic, polycarbonate, HDPE and most sheet plastics. Tighter tolerances are achievable for precision work, talk to us at quote stage about your specific tolerance requirements.
DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES, PDF and Adobe Illustrator (AI/EPS) for 2D parts. SolidWorks, Inventor or STEP for 3D pockets and 2.5D profiles. SVG and PNG for simple shapes. Hand sketches and phone photos are also accepted, we rebuild files in CAD here at no charge for standard quotes.
Up to 3.6 m × 2 m on a single bed. Larger panels can be routed in sections and joined by welding, bonding or mechanical fasteners depending on the application, we'll quote the right approach based on your drawings.
