The most-fabricated plastic in our shop - cast and extruded, clear and tinted, 2 to 80 mm. Glass-clear optical transparency, fabricates beautifully.
The workhorse of plastic fabrication.
Acrylic - known commonly by the brand name Perspex® - is the workhorse of plastic fabrication. Glass-clear, easy to cut, bend, weld and polish, and tough enough for architectural and retail work. We stock both cast and extruded grades in clear, opal, frost, tinted and coloured sheet.
Cast acrylic - better optical clarity, better polishing response, easier to bond and laser-cut clean. Extruded acrylic - cheaper, more consistent thickness, easier to thermo-form. We'll specify cast for premium retail, signage and architectural work, extruded for utility cutting and price-sensitive jobs.
Acrylic is a glass-clear amorphous thermoplastic with excellent optical transparency (better than glass), good UV stability, moderate impact resistance, and a hard, scratch-resistant surface. Service temperature -30°C to +80°C. Slow-burning but flammable.

Acrylic is daily work in every part of the workshop - laser bed, CNC router, line bender, polishing bay, bonding station. Most retail and signage jobs use it. Most architectural balustrades, display panels and feature elements are acrylic. Most museum-grade displays are acrylic with diamond-polished edges.
If you're not sure whether your job is better suited to acrylic or polycarbonate, the rough rule: acrylic if it's about clarity and finish, polycarbonate if it's about impact resistance.

CNC routing with chip-clearing tool paths, laser cutting with single-pass flame-polished edges, line bending for crisp corners, flame and diamond polishing for edge clarity, solvent and structural bonding for invisible joins.
Standard sheet sizes 2440 × 1220 mm and 3000 × 1500 mm. Thicknesses 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 60, 80 mm. Non-stock sizes brought in to order.
Common questions about acrylic.
Yes - Perspex® is a brand name for cast acrylic sheet. The generic material name is acrylic (or PMMA, polymethyl methacrylate). We stock both genuine Perspex® and equivalent cast and extruded acrylic from other reputable suppliers.
Cast acrylic has better optical clarity, better polishing response and bonds more cleanly with solvent cement - it's the premium choice for architectural, signage and museum work. Extruded acrylic is cheaper and more dimensionally consistent - fine for general utility cutting and price-sensitive jobs.
