Illuminated Signage, 180-Store National Rollout.

Multi-store illuminated signage rollout for a national fashion retailer. 180 stores, brand-consistent, packed and labelled for direct-to-store install.

Brief

What needed solving .

A national fashion retailer needed an illuminated signage refresh across 180 stores. The brief: a brand-consistent illuminated wall feature behind the register at every store, sized to fit a variable wall width range, and shipped store-ready so each store could install with a local trades hand on a single visit.

Existing supplier turnaround was breaking the rollout schedule, quality was inconsistent across batches and packing wasn't designed for direct-to-store distribution.

Approach

How we solved it .

We designed a modular illuminated panel system in three width variants, small, medium, large, that covered the full range of store wall sizes. Each panel is a routed acrylic face, line-bent return, internal LED with driver, brand-applied vinyl and printed graphics.

Production ran in batches of 30 panels. Each batch through QC, every panel pressure-tested for the LED circuit, then packed in a branded carton with install instructions, fasteners and a labelled wiring diagram.

Direct-to-store freight from B&M's despatch dock, no central warehouse touchpoint, no double-handling.

Outcome

What shipped .

180 stores rolled out across 8 months. Zero rework. Average install time per store: 90 minutes with one trades hand on the ground.

The retailer's procurement team uses B&M as a standing supplier for refit panels and seasonal POS rollouts.
